which eReader to get? POLL
posted 23rd Nov
So I'm getting one for Christmas, but not sure which one to get. Probably gonna get the Kindle, but with the great Black Friday deals, I was thinking of "upgrading" to a Kindle Fire or even a Tablet, but there are also cheaper options at like $30 of brands I've never heard of. Is it worth the risk at that price?

I love my regular kindle. Paid 80 bucks. I didn't need all the extra stuff that comes on the kindle fire. And I didn't want anything backlit. So mine is perfect for me.

I have heard the kindle fire is better than the nook. I'd just read a ton of reviews.

Id' go for a tablet IMO - I think if you're going to bother forking out for something like that may as well get one that you can DL apps, music, browse the web etc.
I have an ASUS Transformer Eee tablet and I LOVE it. Use it all the time - mostly for reading but also play games, email etc.

well I ended up getting a Kindle on Amazon for $69 last night and right after I paid for it, I found a Google Android Tablet on a Black Friday special for $69 ... go figure. But I honestly don't think I'd use a tablet yet, so I think the Kindle will be fine for what I need it for.

I think a plain kindle was a good move. I have the kindle fire and am too easily distracted by facebook to actually read anything in it, lol.
