so i know i have to take out my piercings when i go into labor, but i have 2 dermals that i can't take out i can only take the stud on the top off... so what are they going to do and is it that big of a deal?

You have to??? I never did. I didn't remove a single piece of jewelry. Are you having a section?

I had a section and didn't have to take out my lip piercing or my nose

i didn't have to take anything out during labor, just before my c section.

Not all ospitals make you take piercing out but some do just as a safety precaution (emergency c-section and such). Call and ask to see if they want to to take piercings out. If so you should probably get the dermals removed

I don't think you have to take any out.. except for maybe a belly button ring or if you have your vagina pierced take that out lol

i wouldnt see how they could make you do that since they are a part of your body

i wouldn't take them out. you shouldn't need to unless you're having a c-section.

yah im not planning on a c section but i think even then i think just my tonuge ring needs to come out in care of emergency... i just was told my last to times i had to take them out in labor but ill make sure to make a list for my appointment on the 5 and ask..!!! what are some good questions to ask the dr anyways after my appointment on the 5 i start going every 2 weeks!

when i had my daughter i had 4 dermals 2 lip piercings and my tounge and belly button i didnt have to take anything out but check with your doc
