Dilated & Effaced (:

I went to my doctor's appt to get my cervix checked for the first time today and I am 2-3cm dilated and 70% effaced (:
If you would please just tell me how dilated and effaced you were on your first check and how long it took before you went into active labor.

I never made it to any of those check ups! Hey your baby will be here soon..walk girl walk !!  

not at all to either, and went into labor the next night.

ETA: they checked me at exactly 39 weeks though, not 36 like others usually do.

Oh you still have a few weeks eekkk..you will be just fine though

At 36 weeks I was only 1 cm and about 30% effaced, then 37 weeks I was 2-3 cm and 80% effaced, then at 38 weeks, I was still 2-3cm and 80% effaced  

At 36 weeks I was a whole lotta nothing lol.

But my friend was 3cms and 60% effaced at 36 weeks and was induced at 42.

yeah, i'm 37 weeks but he said that i am 'term' so whenever she decides to come then it's on (:
and i didn't expect to be dilated or anything when i went in there today, but he said that i'm 2-3 cm and 70% effaced so i was pretty excited to hear that.

I was 3 cm at 35+5.

Delivered at 36+2 after only 1 hr 46 minutes of labor!

As much fun as it is to find out how dilated and effaced we are, and knowing that the baby IS actually going to be coming, they can be really deceiving

At my son i was fully closed up, and i gave birth at 37 weeks. At my daughter at about 33 weeks I was 3 cm and 40 percent effaced....i gave birth at almost 40 weeks. The good thing is that its THAT much less to do on labour day  

At 36 weeks I was .5cm & 75%. 2 days later, my water broke.

i was 2 cm & 70% effaced from week 36 to week 39, then I was 4cm until 41 weeks & ended up having to be induced

I was 2 cm's and 50% effaced from 37 weeks until the day I went into labor at 40 weeks plus 2 days.
