I am 37 weeks and just since yesterday I'm having a sharp stabbing pain in my higher thing when I walk?

i actually just saw the doctor for this problem tuesday and he told me he believes thats from the baby laying on the ciatic nerve and im only 28 weeks. but my thigh goes numb when im walking on it to where i have to sit it down
