bloody show....

I had my "bloody show" today...gross i know lol. My question is...how long AFTER i loose my plug will my lil one be here around? im 37 weeks today so hes full term but i wanna keep him in there as long as I can. im having some cramps but nothing to severe.

The plug can regenerate...it could be today it could be 5 weeks from now...there idt a set time line

every pregnancy is different but with DD2 i woke up at 2 am, had bad diharreah(sp)*TMI*and bloody show. Bad cramps too. Ended up in labor, in hospital at 4:30, had her at 10:53 am. So, in my experience, after bloody show, only about 9 hrs

I still haven't had it yet. I was wondering if you can have it and not notice.lol

Ditto! AFter the bloody show it won't be that long.. a couple hours but soon I'd say

Your mucus plug and bloody show are two different things. The plug is just that, a ball of mucus. Bloody show is actual blood. I lost my plug for 4 days at 40 weeks then had my bloody show while in labour.

I had bloody show (not the plug) a few days ago after having menstrual cramping all day. Here it is 3 days later and all is quiet.

When I lost my PLUG (which was bloody) it was while I was in active labor at the hospital

it was well..blood and mucous . i felt period like cramps yesterday but i thought it was just gas bc i had a HUGE thanksgiving dinner with my sister and dad. then today i went and wiped and had blood and mucous and some BH but nothing severe. im in bed resting and drinking water now. im excited to see my lil man but scared also. thanks ladies for commenting! ill keep everyone updated!!

Is the bloody show bloody mucus & can it be caused by abcervical check? I figured I wouod ask here instead of in a whole new thread.

I was told it could cause spotting. They use lube, so maybe you could be getting that confused with mucus?

Not sure.. m,ine showed up out of the blue.. when I went to the bathroom I looked at my urine and it literally looked like I had just started my period

That's what I was told too. But it definitely was more than spotting. I had went to the bathroom right after & cleaned up (no blood) got home & took a nap when I woke up, I went pee I wiped & had a lot of bloody mucussy looking stuff. I also lost two tiny clumps of what I'm assuming was pieces of my mucus plug. Kept getting that for about an hour, then nothing. Later that night I wiped & had regular discharge with a little string of blood in it. After that nothing else.

That's how mine looked. But it only lasted like an hour then was gone.

My bloody show wasn't mucousy. However, my plug was and had blood in it

Hmm, maybe that's what it was. I go back to see my OB on Tuesday so I will ask him about it.
