Single moms of one who live alone

Single mom's with 1 LO, who have your own place;
Do you get sad on Christmas morning opening presents w/ LO?
This will be the first time, and idk how I'm gonna deal with it :/

Idk, just opening presents alone.. Not having someone to share the joy with..

I'm assuming no family is in the area?  
I just recently left single mom hood (back together with dad after 2 years) and i would definitely be sad (with out showing it) on christmas morning if it was just me 'n the kids. (i'd just miss my family like crazy)
I would make everything just fun and happy and bright.
Fun breakfast, opening of gifts, playing with 'em, etc.

wouldn't your LO be the someone special you are sharing these special times with? my husband works for the railroad and is often gone for days at a time. I do love him very much but my kids are more important then anything under God.

Yeah I do have family, I'm just speaking of the opening of the gifts early in the am, IDK I guess I'm making a big deal out of it. I used to be so happy and independent about things, IDK what happened to me :/

but it also means that you can do whatever you want

Last year, Cora and I got up, I made cinnamon rolls and left them to rise. We opened gifts, snuggled for a bit, and then got ready for the day

We can do whatever we want. It's really nice to have that time to ourselves

IDk I guess I'm just used to having someone there. It's def a change that's hard to get used to but I just try to think of the pros of being a single mom.. But the stress of custody battles is what is a real big CON

I get what you're saying. Of course, spending Christmas with your LO is the best part, but you'd also like to have more family there to share it with. DD will only be a few weeks old for this Christmas, but I plan to go to my dad's house and spend it with them.
