Need some help.

Okay we'll I've never been religious. I was raised catholic but I don't go to church or anything like that, but I've always believed in god. Recently my best friend passed away and it's been really hard to keep believing in god. Why didn't god save him? Why would god do this to his family, his kids, to me, to everyone that loved him? I'm really torn. Everyone says everything happens for a reason, but there was no reason for him to die. Why did god allow this to happen? I just need someone to help me understand this...

First, sorry for your loss...

You do not know that there was not a reason, God is a lot more complex than that. We live in an evil world. If you stray away from God and live "worldly"(not saying this was you friend's case) then you open yourself up for bad things to come your way. You can't speak for anyone but yourself. The truth is hard to hear, and you really do not know where your friend's walk with God was. God promises us a long life IF we live the way God instructs us to.

Sweetie I know it's hard but it won't make you feel better to blame god. Idk what happened but god has a plan. I know I know it's hard. It's hard to think about all who are suffering. But the truth is we're not immortal and we're all dying. That's because the world is full of sin. I'm so sorry you're hurting and it's just so hard to find the right words to say. But I really hope you don't stop
Believing in god and allow him to help you get through it. Pray for his family. Pray for everyone's strength.
