update

Got my membranes stripped today. Didn't hurt as bad as people had been telling me. So far nothing has happened as far as cramping, bleeding or contractions. Hoping it'll work but if not I will be induced come Tuesday. I'll get the time on Monday. Yay!

Hopefully it works! Best of luck   when do doctors normally start inducing? I was told some won't until you're 10 days overdue! :S maybe it's the doctors preference?

I had mine done the day before last and I was 1cm dilated, short and soft - I have had cramping, contractions and loads of mucus. I'll get it done again on Monday but if nothing happens then I too will be induced on Tuesday

Thank you and up here they start at 39 weeks but you have to ask.

Im 2cm, his head is really low, 50% effaced and she said my cervix is thin and stretchy so im keeping my hopes up but not too high. Either way hell be here late Tuesday or early Wednesday

I think my doctor may have done mine when I got checked the other day. I'm not sure though. But I had a mucussy bloody discharge later that day. Is that what the bloody show looks like? Sorry for the TMI, but I am clueless as to what my body has been up to lately.

I don't think they would have done it for you that early. My doctor was hesitant about doing it at 38 weeks. Your cervix may be irritated from being checked or it could be your bloody show.

they did it, im almost 39 weeks and due to the size of my son when he was born they dont want me to go over my due date

Opps I'm sorry I was meaning to quote Colton's mama, not you. She is like 36 weeks and they try not to induce you then unless they have a very good reason.
