gripe water

posted 23rd Nov
Alright ladies.. I am a first time mom and I was wondering what's the difference between gripe water and just regular gas drops? My daughter is 6 1/2 weeks old and is extremely gassy.   I have been giving her gas drops and they don't seem to be working. She has these sudden outbursts and tenses her little legs up like she's in pain. Someone mentioned gripe water, has any had any success from it? thanks in advance.

Gripe water didn't do jack smurf for DD, but her gas drops were a god send. I'd choose the drops.

We used gas drop for my son..those worked pertty good. Alot of people love gripe water for their babies..but it made my son puke every time..and we tried 3 times and obviously gave up after that// But in the end we switched his fomrula and never need the gas drops after that.

We use both - Gripe Water isn't just for gas...it helps with colic, upset tummy, & teething too. When my baby girl is extra gassy we use the gas drops, but gripe water can calm her quickly if she's fussing over an upset tummy or other issue.
