Depression in early pregnancy

Currently 5 weeks gone and suffering with depression, is this normal and any tips to get happier about the unborn baby ?

When I was younger. But now only in pregnancy...To the point where I start hating everything, even my baby....

I'm not much help in the natural ways to relieve depression. I've had to be medicated with both of my pregnancies.

I did suffer from it when i used to smoke cannabis frequently for a couple of years, and stimulant abuse, but quit everything about 4 months ago

And i'm worried if I let any professionals know they'll contact Social Services and my chance of the baby being taken away from me becomes much greater as I am currently fostered.

What medication did you use? I keep hearing about fish oils helping lots. But Im not sure what it is..lol

They can't take your baby because you're depressed mama. I have been medicated both of my pregnancies and nobody has ever threatened to take my baby.

Fish oil is just omega 3. It's for memory and the development of the baby. But ive never heard of it being used as a mood stabilizer. I took Zoloft with dd1 and Wellbutrin for this one.

Just a bit scared that they'll catogrise me as not fit for looking after the child because of my age and history of drug abuse sighhhhhhhh.

They wont take your baby away for that. Hopefully its something that will pass when you have the baby.
