Can you use Leapster games in a Leapster2?

My SIL just got our girls each a Leapster2 for Christmas. We're trying to figure out what all we need to get to go with it. I've already found cases for them and a charger thing, but wasn't sure about the games. Can you use Leapster games in the Leapster2? Just wondering, it may be a dumb question but whatever. lol
