if your inlaws always threw it in your face anything they bought or gave you in every argument and said that the only thing you were good for were taking their gifts and or money would it make you a smurffy person for saying smurf that dont worry about buying dd anything? dd is 11 months old and doesnt know anything anyways and has everything she needs. we have 130 bucks worth of toys on layaway and they are nice toys that will age well.

also any advice would be welcome. so thinks they should just drop them off but mil and sil have threatened me one to many times and i dont want anything from them.

I would tell them that unless they change their attitude and can treat you with respect, that you would no longer be accepting any type of gift/charity from them.

so was already told that i will receive nothing for xmas from them. the first time in 5 years lol so at least i dont have to worry about that. there is alot more crap that has went on but his mom took back the car we were going to buy with our tax money even though his sister got a car worth 3x as much for free. they hoped he would lose his job and keep asking questions about well if he works this shift why is he home etc. the lavish gifts they give us are like a package of socks and a couple gift cards. nothing like his sister gets. ie cruises designer purses etc. she is 18 btw.

Dont do tit for tat be the bigger person and do as you have been doing for the past 5 years and get them gift. And to be honest maybe you and your SO should stop so so involed with them if they just want to see you two fail and put you down all the time.

me too. there is alot more but im tired of drowning in the negativity. the only thing they havent done to us is call cps and im sure thats coming.

You and you SO should have a talk with them they should respect you as their grandchilds mother and sons wife. Or if they cant distant yourself from the BS your little girl will pick up on it.

my so is incredibly depressed. it has gone past just talking. i told mil that my choices are final and will be respected and she said she didnt have to listen to me or sophies pedi and that i was no longer allowed to go to her house.

me too he is playing xbox for the first time since the last fight sun. im happy he is enjoying himself. ill have him vaccume and take out the trash and just let him play all day. i would do those things but i cant right now lol.

I am doing basically the same thing this year, MIL has excluded my 10yo one too many times for christmas and so far has never even once seen my 10 month old. Last year she didn't buy anything for my 10yo then I found out she bought something for DH's ex's daughter (not DH's kid), so this year I have decided if she does buy anything I am not accepting it. She never gives them to the kids anyways she leaves the stuff at her moms and when we go there we get it. This year there will be a note left on them saying she can keep it. I am tired of her excluding my kids and only being a grandma on the holidays, and even then she's not there. Hell just yesterday she called to invite us to thanksgiving, and then asked what the baby's name is and claimed we never told her, even though DH has talked to her several times and told her.

Anyways, not exactly the same situation, but I feel ya, and no I don't think it would be smurffy, it's exactly what I would do.

Dh is not at all happy with her either, so I don't think he will care if I do that, he might tell me not to only to avoid an issue but I am tired of letting the smurf go on and not saying or doing anything so he will just have to get over it lol. I have been dealing with this smurf for 9 years and when she pulled that last Christmas and bought DH's ex's daughter something and left my son out, that was the final straw, and now the fact LO is almost a year old and she claims to not know his name and she's never seen him. Well she will be lucky if she ever will because I sure as smurf am not going out of my way for her when she treats us like smurf.
