Vent about my Boyfriends horrible boss... *long*

So I only had morning sickness for one day during my pregnancy but it was really bad and my boyfriend stayed up all night taking care of me and trying to make me comfortable. That night he called his boss and asked if he could have the next day off because I was pregnant and really sick. He also told him that we hadn't told ANYONE yet and asked him to please keep it to himself. He said it was fine and said congratulations so we didn't think anything of it. A week or so passed and a few people asked my boyfriend if I was pregnant so we knew where they where hearing it but we weren't too mad about it cause no one we where close to found out. Then two days later on my boyfriends birthday I had just finished grocery shopping with his mom while he was at work to make his favorite supper before he got home. She got a phone call and after that she kept looking at me funny and I didn't know why until my boyfriend got home. Over supper she looks at us and said "your boss called and said Brooke is pregnant, is it true" I was so caught off guard and was forced to tell everyone in the family when we weren't ready. Im still soooo mad...

Or that HE had the flu

He was probably just concerned, I'm assuming you guys are young since it's posted in teen pregnancy. He may have thought y'all were gonna keep it hidden from everyone or try to terminate the pregnancy without anyone knowing about it. Who knows? I'm sure he was trying to be more helpful than trying to start anything.

She's 18. they're adults. It wasn't his place to say a damn thing.

I'd be pissed too op. I don't like announcing my pregnancies until after 16 weeks. I'd be LIVID if someone outed me before I was ready.

I didn't check her profile. I just assumed. I'm 18 almost 19. I was staying at my dad's for the weekend spending time with him & my little brothers. I was texting a friend & told her I thought I may be pregnant. Little did I know my step mom was reading over my shoulder. She told my dad, my brothers, the neighbor & everyone on facebook before I even got to take a pregnancy test. I took one the next day & it came out positive, but I wasn't ready for everyone to know. Especially not until I went to the doctor & had my first ultrasound. So I know how she feels. Sorry I assumed OP.

Its understandable but i doubt it was out of concern because im 18, he's 20 and we live in our own place. I could see it being out of concern if we lived with his parents or had financial problems but we are much better off than most our age and we didn't want to tell his parents yet because my family has a long history of not being able to keep a pregnancy past 14 weeks.
