Scooting...?

At what age did your child start to scoot? My son has started scooting but it is only side to side. I was wondering if this is the start to crawling? I know he won't crawl yet but I saw him doing this tonight and I was really amazed at it. Here is a little video of what I mean:

Silas started doing that around 2 months. He's 4 months and the most thats happened is that he's gotten better at it but no crawling.

I felt all excited that he is doing this and he is 5 months.

You never know! He could be working on it  
I'm kinda jealous of my friend. Her 5 month old just started crawling and had no signs of her really being interested until a week ago and bam. Now she crawls here and there.
I watch my son get up on his knees but have no clue what to do lol.
