Help bf question

Hey everyone my baby is a week old today and I have a question on bf. he's strictly a breast baby and starting last night I've had the chills and my breasts are super painful with redness starting to appear not a rash just very red and warm. Anyone ever have this prob and how can I fix it I'm hurting and cold :-/

It sounds like Mastitis. If it is, you'll need antibiotics.

I was running just a slight one 100.5 last night I haven't checked again...is it still safe to feed baby?

Oh no deff get checked please ASAP I had mastitis and its no fun.y boob actually ripped open from it :/

Yes feed the baby. No u can't really prevent it. If u have an oversupply you might need to pump so there's not milk sitting in there for Long periods of time.

You're welcome. Feel better soon! My fever got so bad I ended up going to the ER and that's where I got my antibiotics. I hope they're there tomorrow!
