when did you start to swell up?

I'm just curious when you other mommies started to have swollen feet, hands,or possibly face. I'm currently 30 weeks 6 days and last night was like the first official swollen ankle/feet night. This is night number 2 of softball ankles. I have also noticed my face is really really puffy... love the wonderful side effects of pregnancy ... p.s. I know swelling is common but excessive swelling sometimes has an underlying problem :p.. this is more of a curious question then anything. Also if anyone has any tips to help with swelling would be awesomeness! !!

Tip for swelling - DRINK MORE WATER!
I haven't gotten any swelling and i'm 39 weeks, soo... I guess it's different for everyone. Swelling is VERY common though. And if you can push your finger in under your ankle and still see the finger indentation when you pull your hand away -- then I'd call the doc, other than that, normal!

Lower your salt intake for it will make you retian fluid you can also take cool showers or use ice packs to reduce swelling. If you sit for prolonged periods of time put your feet up so your legs and feet dont swell.

I've had on and off swelling for a few weeks now. Aside from drinking water and elevating your feet, there's not much else you can do. I would recommend taking off your rings though!! All of my swelling had been in my feet until last week and I nearly died in a panick trying to get my wedding band off lol. I hate not wearing my wedding band!!

I started swelling about 30wks if not a little before. My hands and feet. If you start to swell make sure you're drinking plenty of water and keep an eye on your bp. Your face usually swell at the very end. Just keep an eye on bp for preeclasmia (sp?)

I'm 39 weeks with high BP and on Pre E watch but I've had no swelling at all. Seriously drink a TON and tell your DR as a puffy face is worrying.
