When to call L&D?

posted 22nd Nov
So I was having a bunch of crazy BH like every few minutes and now I've had what have felt like BH at 11:00, 11:11, 11:20, and 11:30.
I'm seriously in disbelief that this is actually happening and I feel surreal and like I'm making it up, especially because they're not painful at all.
I recall being told to call after timing them for an hour, but I don't know if I'm making that up. Should I wait until they're closer together?

Being a smurfing spaz. I'm just like, "There's no way these are real, I'm making it up." I feel movements in between and tell myself that that means they can't mean anything and then right on the dot I'll get another one. I just got another one at 11:40.

6 or more in hour means you need to go in. Have you tried drinking some water to see if that changes them? If it doesn't try walking around your house to see if that makes them closer together. I wouldn't go in yet unless you have a history of short labors.

They say 5-7 mins apart with subsequent preg. I think you'll just waste your time right now. Unless you labor was like super fast with your first I would wait.

If I had a choice and went into labor on my own, I'd be staying in my comfy house as long as possible. There's no reason to go to the hospital right away, unless you just feel more comfortable doing so?

I waited until they were about 3 minutes apart. Mine weren't painful either they were more like period cramps to me

I finally decided to call and my midwife said I could wait until they were like five minutes apart or so and to sleep if I could because they should wake me up. I was in labor for three damned days with DS so I'd rather sit home if I can.
I'm getting another one as I type and that makes eight consistent contractions every ten minutes. I'm totally in denial about this - I was fully expecting to go overdue and right now I'm 37 weeks even - so I still don't believe it's happening.
I don't know if I should try to sleep or if I should walk around. I'm kind of afraid of going to sleep and waking up to them having gone away.
