I just remember my sister being little and literally the babygate was right past my parents room when she came out. So the only place she could travel was there and back to her room.

Awww I don't have baby gates anymore. But Jen I did have one it was only at the bottom of the stairs so he wouldn't climb upstairs. My son is free to go anywhere in the house unless the door is closed. He knows doors closed means knock. The same rules apply in his room. If he's watching tv or playing in his room, sometimes he closes the door and makes us knock. Ofcourse his door doesn't have a lock so of we really need to get in we can. Idk, my son has always been really independent and doesn't need is watching over him if we're home.

My sons room is right next to ours. We have sex during his nap. if he calls us we stop and get dressed. So it takes us a minute.
