turkey, how long

we are having our thanksgiving tomarrow, i have a 24 lb bird that i plan to stuff, should 6 hours be long enough? i want it out of the oven by 4pm so it can rest. so when should i start it?

20 minutes per pound and they don't recomend stuffing it unless you want salmonella. I would make the dressing seperately.

6 hours should be plenty of time. It will probably take 5 and a half hours.

i always stuff mine, never had an issue, but this is the biggest bird ive ever made.
