Im going insane...

Im over having kids..

The constant screaming/whining is really doing my head in.. lack of sleep is making it 10x harder to deal with.

I want to cry.

My NB has been awake and crying since 5.45am (its now 11.55am) .. my toddler has been an absolute gem and is playing with his toys but i feel like he is always getting 'neglected' because the new baby takes up so much of my/our time.

Ive got to much to do today (we have cleaners coming tomorrow to clean for our house inspection and i need to tidy up/clear out rooms and get tons of washing done).. all the while i have a screaming, over tired baby who wont settle.. i've been trying for the last few hours.

I dont want to be a SAHM anymore.

Im sick of it & im not coping.

I've put the NB down on the boppy pillow and hes screaming.. but no matter if i rock him, cuddle him, walk around with him he cries anyway.. urghhhh!

I need a breather

Put him in his bed and go outside and breath. He will be ok in there for a bit

I cant leave him because his reflux is so bad today that he'll most likely throw up.

I finally settled him about 3 hours ago, put him down in the cot (it is elevated) and he started SCREAMING/gasping..

I ran in and he had thick mucous/bubbles in his throat & coming out his nose and was struggling to breathe.

DH needs to get the snip.. honestly, i can't deal with this.. if i found out i was pregnant again i'd probably need meds to cope with depression.

I've got ZERO maternal instinct whatsoever and im really frustrated  .. im surprised i haven't got PPD yet!

  sorry. My newborn was colicky and I felt the same way, like I was neglecting my toddler...it really was the worst feeling.

It will get better, I promise.

Have you tried to wear him?

I feel the same about more babies. Im so sick and struggling to feel happy about having another

Im getting all teary lol..

He has a milk protein allergy - he is on a prescribed formula now & its helping immensely, no more rashes or colic.

But his reflux has come to a peak now..

I saw a gastroenterologist last week and he gave me so much helpful advice, but it is just 'coping' until he outgrows it. The meds he was on weren't working so we were told to take him off them etc..

I just am finding it really hard to cope at the moment.. no sleep at night & when he naps during the day i can't sleep because my toddler needs attention/supervision.

Today its just hit me i think.. ive been managing up until now.

Swaddling and wearing worked with my other LO (horrible baby as well, so many issues)

Our NB hates feeling restricted.. he cries/screams harder if you try to swaddle or wear him..

Sometimes you just need to reach a breaking point and freak out and cry before you can keep going. Better out than in.

Someone in my PT just posted about hazelwood necklaces for reflux. I've never heard of it though.

Do u have a relative that could come over and help out for a few hours so u can rest?

Only my mum, but she just got off night shift & went to visit my grandma in the rest home before going home to bed.

I can never bring myself to ask because she is always exhausted too.
