It felt like you were still here for a second

Logged on to Facebook to see that an old friend that passed away three years ago "liked" a Lady Gaga page. Guess her inactive account has succumbed to spam. When I saw her name on my feed it felt like my heart hiccuped. It felt like she was still here for a second. Even sadder part, is that her mom "liked" it.

Omg, I thought I was the only one that saw something like this... 

My friend passed away about a month ago, I jumped on FB yesterday morning and she had "liked" something, I thought maybe one of her sons was logged into her account.

Really? I bet some spammers/hackers/whatever you call them are taking advantage of inactive accounts.

A friend of mine passed away about a month and a half before her bday, and a little local place posted on her wall saying "happy birthday, come into eastbound and have dinner and get a $20 gift certificate for your birthday!"

Omg.  

Sometimes I want to delete my deceased friends because I get so sad when I see their profiles... but at the same time, I love being able to read their old statuses and hear their voice in them.

It might have been something they liked before passing. I see stuff my friends liked from over a year ago, even myself when DH is logged on.

I saw a deceased friend's "like" of a page today too. My heart skipped a beat.   even worse was it was a page he would have never "liked" in the first place (Madonna)

my mates passed away a few year ago and his sister deactivated her own profile but goes on his to tlk to people and its annoying seeing that he has liked or commented on one of your posts.
It makes it so much harder and i feel like if she doesnt want fb she shouldnt go on at all! especially not on his account.

Thanks. She was such a smart and beautiful woman. I hate that she thought her life was no longer worth living.

My best friend passed away in 2010.
A few months after her death, I got some texts to my phone that she had sent me while alive. I felt the same way.
Turns out someone in her family handling the device accidently re-ssent them.

My friend that passed away had sent me some texts, and I deleted them before she died. Afterwards, when her mom was going thriugh her phone she re-sent them to me, because she knew I'd like to save them. I do wish she would have told me first to avoid the shock factor.

My mom passed away over 4 years ago, and a couple of years ago my SO opened his email and there was a brand new e mail from her. Hackers got to her account, but it freaked both him and I out a bit.
