So were sat around thanksgiving table eating, and being suspended from uni gets brought up, my boyfriend starts going on how its stupid what thy have done given the circumstances.

Not everyone sat around the table knows about the abortion because its not exactly something you want everyone to know.

Well now they know and its killed the mood and no one wants to speak.

Smurf my life. So awkward.  

I'm a little confused by this but from what I think I have gathered I'm sorry. I hate awkward moments

She had to terminate her pregnancy to save her life. Her kidneys were failing, if I'm not mistaken. The stress caused her to fall behind on one assignment and Uni gave her the boot even upon appeal.

I would seriously be looking into legal action, they can't make you leave University for failing one assessment given there are strong medical grounds. I see you are in the UK and we have strong rights over here, also just curious seeing as you are in the UK why are you celebrating Thanksgiving  

I am allowed to appeal for a second time and I'm handing it in tomorrow, if they say no again, I am going to take legal action.

My friend is from California so were celebrating with him  

I hope you get it sorted! I was reading through your posts and you have given them proof and everything so they cannot do this to you. Several assessments and you were going to fail the year anyway then I would understand them having to tell you you have no option but to resist the year but 1 assessment and there are medical grounds? No no no it is not acceptable for them to treat you this way   I also seen they would only allow you 2 days off after the abortion again that is not legally a stance they can take. You can self certify for a full 7 days here in an education or employment setting without any medical proof needed, you can do this up to 3 times a year so right from the beginning they haven't been acting in accordance with the rules!

That's really nice you are celebrating with him, must be strange trying to celebrate Thanksgiving in a place where the Holiday doesn't exist lol

Yeah 2 days one being which the abortion was on, then I was thrown straight back onto placement, ugh.

Not having time to recover made my emotional stress worse and I didn't get chance to deal with it properly, I still feel I haven't dealt with it properlybow with there added stress on top.


Aha it does feel strange but the big feast was delicious, minus the awkwardness
