Melting Crayons?

So between my house and my parents we have ALOT of broken crayons so i was thinking of melting them down and making "new" crayons for christmas for my LO and my neices.

Thoughts and tips on how to do it? and do you think a craft store would carry plastic shapes or something to pour the wax into to form a charater crayon

I know Wal Mart has crayon makers. You can remake all your old crayons.

Pinterest has something on how to do this.

Put them in a shape cupcake tin, put them in the oven until evenly melted, pop in the freezer until hard again.

You can use candy molds to melt them done into shapes.
