Oh, I know that feeling - we're potty training, it's a messy, messy time. Can you guys have Thanksgiving when you get back?

yup exactly my lo is started to drool like crazy and has been spitting up pretty bad lately so theres no point in buying a special outfit cause as it is i have to change him like at least 3 times a day

Yes  we have everything at home, just came with my mom to drop her load (truck driver) and got stuck over night.

DS has been PT'd he just went to sleep with no pull up on. I'm more bummed about no Black Friday shopping

Quoting 2Girls & Blessed:" yeah i know i just feel guilty because for 4th of july i didnt dress them up in red white and blue and ... [snip!] ... but ughh sometimes i just cant.. so thats why im like errrr i didnt get a nice thanksgiving outfit or dress for them...  "

Wow... she sounds rude to me   Sure its nice to buy a nice outfit for every holiday but doesnt mean anything if you dont. DD (5) is wearing one of her favorite skirts (with winter stockings) and a normal long sleeve she picked out. No where thanksgiving themed. But i did order DS (1month old) a nice outfit but its not really thanksgiving themed either   i order it months ago with it was marked down! As long as your kids are clean and dressed no one should say smurf, screw your SIL. She's just trying to make herself feel better by making rude comments, imo....

OP sounds like you are more sad because your SIL will be dressing up her child and you wont. Dont make it into a competition.
My kids are not wearing new outfits today, and that's totally fine.

I don't really see it as a big deal honestly. We have the money to buy it, and we didn't have a Thanksgiving specific outfit for DD this year. I hope that doesn't make me a bad mom, lol

Don't get yourself into a competition with your SIL.... It's useless! She sounds like she may be a one-up-er ... No use playing their game. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.

Don't feel bad I wanted to buy my DS a special outfit for thanksgiving but when I was shopping for one I realized we don't really have the $ so I just put him in something cute he already has. I'm gonna try to do something for Christmas but that depends on $ of course. He's growing out of everything so fast I felt like I'd be wasting $ I needed for other things

I feel bad for not being able to have Kallee's pictures made as often as some friends, and while she does get a few holiday outfits, she either gets food or dirt on em or I have to take her clothes off every feeding/playtime. Don't stress it. I bet your baby girl's smile was the cutest thing she could wear ; )

My son was in a Batman onsie and jeans. He would puke all over a cute expensive outfit in a matter of minutes so I didn't dress him up, and I think he looked perfectly adorable.
