Poor Ethan

posted 22nd Nov
I think he might have the flu. We went to the doctor yesterday and they said tonsillitis, but they didn't do a strep or flu test to determine the cause. He was up ALL night crying, complaining of throat and leg pain. Same thing this morning, except now his stomach hurts   I tried to explain to him what throwing up was just in case he needs to. He's thrown up before but doesn't remember. Even with ibuprofen (which is for the inflammation in his throat) his fever hasn't really broken. It's sitting right at 100 today, and was between 101 and 102 most of last night.

So we will be homebodies for Thanksgiving today. Luckily I defrosted a pork loin last night just in case. DH is so disappointed about missing out on a Thanksgiving feast

Honestly he's having a lot of signs of strep. Id take him back to the doctor/urgent care/er. Look up signs of strep throat in kids and you'll see. Poor guy, I hope he's ok. Last time I had strep nothing helped until a few days after the antibiotic was started.

Well they gave him an antibiotic yesterday so there really isn't much else that could be done either way.

I feel bad for him. He just asked if we could go be thankful at his pawpaw's house instead of being thankful here lol

Oh well I didn't even think about that lol as long as the antibiotic will take care of strep(if that is what it could be) then there's no reason to take him back. Poor guy   tonsillitis is awful, as is strep.

He needs antibiotics for tonsilitis. Its an infection. My son just got over that. I gave him ludens throat drops and a spoonful of honey here and there for the pain... Topped with his antibiotics and Motrin.
