Yes, it would have made me mad. You are his mother, so you have the ultimate say.

This would piss me off. It is your LO and you can feed them whatever you want. If it was me, I would've thrown the stuff away. Just sit down with her and tell her that you are the mom and what you say goes. You know what is best for your child.

I would simply just tell her, "Mom, this is my son and I know what's best for him. You can trust that I'm not going to sit and let him starve."

My mum would have done the same.

I know she means well, but it irks me sometimes..

Sometimes i get snappy & tell her what i think.. other times i let her 'help' because i know she is being thoughtful and thinks her opinion/help is of great value lol.

annoying yes, but i wouldnt start a fight. if she wants to cook it, feed him, and clean up after it. go for it.

That's what I usually do. And most of the time I love the help! But this is just so irritating to me lol I have kept him alive and healthy for 15 months, I think I got it down by now

Living in someones house does not mean they can control every aspect of your parenting. I rent, but my landlord doesn't bust in and give me nutritional advice.

Helping is one thing, but overiding specific parenting choices is not acceptable regardless of the name on the deed.

You do not trade elements of basic respect for a place to crash.

Not too sure what you mean by that.. lol. I won't be moving out anytime soon, and especially not over something silly like this.

When I lived with my parents with my first both of them drove me NUTS with their "do this, don't do that BS"... I get it. It got to be so much that I had to leave to establish a life where I was the parent and not the glorified nanny figure...

Not too often. It's been happening a little more than usual lately. But we are completely remodeling and building onto our house. So it could just be the stress coming out in everyone. Usually everyone that lives here is really good about asking before they do something with the baby, and not making comments about what I do. Unless I'm being stupid and then my mom lets me know
