And 23 years later...

My parents are hosting Thanksgiving together. They got divorced 23 years ago, when I was 3 years old. They hated each other my entire childhood. They went through an ugly custody battle when I was 11, when my dad decided he wanted power over my mom. (after he didn't care for the past 8 years). And he won in court and things got even uglier when my brother and I had to move in with him. And NOW...23 years later...my dad volunteered to host Thanksgiving. And he called my mom and asked her to help him. Not too weird, right?? LOL. Ever since my brother had his first daughter 7 years ago, my parents get along great! They both attend EVERY family function and laugh and talk. I guess now that my brother and I are grown up and they have 5 grandchildren together, they have nothing left to fight over. Just a little weird that they're hosting Thanksgiving TOGETHER! Wow.

Jealous!!! My parents can't even go to their grandchildren's birthday parties together!

Wow... I'm totally jealous. If my parents are even in the same state I get a call about "she's nucking futs" or "he's an ass" lmao. Now I live on one side of the country, she lives in the middle and my dad on the other side!

Yeah it's pretty cool. I mean, they fought my entire childhood but now their kids are grown up and they have 5 grandkids together, there's nothing left to fight over. Infact, I think I'd be pissed if they were still fighting...like, grow up already! LOL, it's kinda cool to see them getting along so well. Just would be weird if they got back together after all these years!
