excruciating pain in lower belly...

posted 22nd Nov
My whole pregnancy ive had pain on my right side, always thought it was round ligamanet pain. Im 35wks 2days and for rhw las cpl days its become excruciating. The pain is low on my belly almost to where my belly and hip meet. When i move my leg, cough, rollover, walk, just about any movement it feels like someone has knife and is cutting me open, it takes my breath away. The pain radiates up my side and somewhat around my hip but the radiating pain is not near as bad. Ive taken a lortab 10mg and it doesnt even touch it. Heating pad, support, holdng peefectly still eve doesnt work. Even LO move causes terrible pain. I have absolutely no way to the hospital so i cant go in. I was just wanting to know if anyone else has had this and if round ligament pain gets this bad, like from a torn ligament. TIA

Hi! I'm 22 weeks and I have had exactly the same pain at exactly the same place! It's reaaaaallly really painful! My whole side goes numb! I haven't been to the doctor either but I phoned him and he said that in moderation it is completely normal if you have a large baby or belly. But if it gets worse or keeps happening all the time you should go to the doctor.

I have an appt monday. This is definitely not in moderation. Ive had lesser pain there for awhile but its just horrible now...and i have a very high pain tolerance.

Apparently it's easier to strain or tear muscles during pregnancy because they are softer due to the progesterone getting you ready to squeeze your human out
I have pulled my groin muscle, it is no bueno!

Taking a lorotab was retarded for one I mean the only thing ur spose to take for pain while pregnant is tylenol I know the pain is horrible but the safety of your baby is more important

Well I'm 33wks and have the same issue and as I get bigger it becomes more painful. I have brought it up to my dr and he sayd round ligament pain. As far as taking a loratab you're fine they give you percocet when you're prgnant they have for me. As long as you'r not taking something with asprin in it. I know someone is going to comment about this but I don't care my dr had givin to me and I have done my research and 1 tab isn't going to hurt your baby but on the other hand if it isn't your prescription and the dr doesn't know then I wouldn't take it.. Hope you feel better and happy holidays.

I have the same thing. My dr says its round ligament pain because my baby is so large. I'm 37.5 right now and the dr is estimating baby to be close to 9lbs. Mine gets so bad at times I can't even put any pressure on my right leg with out excruciating pain. It could just be that you have a really big baby.

Thats what ive thought but doc is estimating baby at 5lbs. I swear my first wasnt this big at 35wks! I say babys more like 7lbs but who knows. Monday i was a growth ultrasound so we'll see.
