Cramping....
posted 22nd Nov
Im 34 +1 with my 3rd baby. Been experiencing menstrual like cramps for about the past week now. They happen on and off every day, and the severity of them varies. They can last anywhere from 1 min up to 10 mins. I dont know if you would call them braxton hicks or not.....which makes me feel kinda silly considering it is my 3rd pregnancy, but i never had any cramping or braxton hicks or any pains at all with my last 2.
Anyone have any thoughts???

I have spoken to my midwife and doctor about it, and they both said its just my muscles pulling. But if thats the case, wouldnt i have had the same problem with my last 2 pregnancies? Im not overly concerned about it, but just wanted peoples thoughts on what they think it could be, or if they have experienced it before.

My friend had them on her 3rd, your muscles are more relaxed, weaker and not as tight as you've already had two children so you tend to be more likely to get muscle pain and SPD.
If it carries on or gets worse I'd definitely call again if you're worried!

I was told to expect more BH contractions with subsequent pregnancies.
As long as you're still feeling movement I wouldn't panic.

W/ my 10 th baby I had this also. I called my Doctor to ask to come in because on this particular day they would not go away to where as before they would stop!! d had My They observed me for 2 hours and I was a cm @ my previous Ob appointment and when they examined me NOT having contractions just period cramps I was 4/5 they were indeed dilating me. Don't let anyone tell you different. I was admitted and had the following day right at 35 weeks! He still weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and only spent 3 hrs in NICU for observation..GL and get it checked!

I would go in and have them check you. Everyone kept telling me muscle pains or ligaments pain and I went into full blown labor a couple of weeks after they started my daughter was born at 21 weeks. It is much better to be safe..

It's due to stretching, I've had it on and off throughout this pregnancy.
