Arlington National Cemetary Photo

I'm sure a lot of you have heard of the woman above by now. If not, then I'll tell ya. She was visiting the cemetery when she saw the sign and decided to take a "funny" picture with it. She then posted it to FB where she got negative responses...she didn't understand why it went that far stating it was meant to be a joke. Many people think she should lose her job for it, I am on the fence. While I think that her work and personal life should be separate I believe how you behave outside of work in public can show on the company and shed bad light towards them which in turn would make them want to fire you. Should she be fired or should her company forgive her for her stupidity?

Does she work for the government? While I think what she did is completely disrespectful and distasteful I don't think she should be fired for it unless she was either on the clock when this photo was taken or works at the cemetery.

I believe it said she works for a non-profit organization that works with elderly people but I could be wrong for that.

If she has a goverment job I bet she's really smurfin embarrassed:/ but no, I don't think she should be fired because of this picture.

Thing is, she can give the company a bad name depending on what services they offer so from a manager point of view it is in the company's best interests.

There is challenging authority and there is being a disrespectful turd, I believe she crossed the line.

I don't know if she deserves to lose her job but I reckon she'll feel the full extent of her stupid actions for quite some time seeing as her hometown were posted on a few sites and FB pages I hear.

She works for a non profit that helps people with disabilities, the elderly, etc. And she was on a trip with a bunch of the consumers and staff of the organization. I can understand why they would fire her, if they do.

If she was on a business trip, absolutely.

If she was there on her own, absolutely not. I don't think it's funny, but I can understand how some would find it disrespectful. I think she's just an idiot and proved it with this picture.

She looks like an idiot. The silence and respect sign is there, not because people like the quiet, but to show our respects to the men and women who have died for our country.
