How badly does labor hurt!?

This will be my first child and im so scared. I'm having a little girl so im happy but i dont take pain well. How would you describe the pain. Is it excruciating or what. Im scared and paranoid about giving birth.

Worst pain of your life, but so totally worth it. I of course have my babies naturally with no pain meds/epidural.

It hurts. Like, a lot. Reallly painful.

Personally, the drugs worked well.

I didnt feel that it hurt too much.
The contractions.... Now they hurt!!

And was still sore a few days after coz I tore... No biggy

Yeah, it hurts a lot but it's an amazing experience that you'll never forget.

It hurt until I got my epidural. Then I couldnt feel the bottow half of my body. Completely fell asleep and was woken up to push.

I was induced and the contractions began quickly. At first they felt like mild cramping and I remember saying "If it's like this I don't need ANY pain meds and I don't know why these women are screaming and mooing". Oh how silly I was.

I ended up in labor for almost 48 hours and had every drug they could throw at me - my fear of needles and spines was well & truly forgotten. I was mooing and screaming like a champ. It is a pain that radiates through your body and drains the energy from you.

This sounds horrific, yes, BUT my son is a year old on Saturday and I am due in June with my second so it just goes to show that the pain is temporary but the feeling once it's all over is beyond amazing   better than Christmas!

You'll be fine and don't rule out pain medication - if you need it, take it because you don't want to be too tired when the time to push comes  

I will definetly consider all of this. everyone tells me omg your scared for nothing. But i cant help but being scared.. I hope it all goes well. Fingers crossed

Lies. I remember it all.

Contractions are a bitch. Pushing, that smurf feels good. I did mine all natural and I strangely wouldn't change anything!

lol. well yea so do i... but what i meant was it doesn't seem important anymore. you don't care about all the pain you just experienced.
