after membrane sweep?

How long were you sore? And how long did you bleed?

I can barely get comfortable because my cervix/vag hurt so bad. Its been about 15hrs.

mine where swept while i was in labor.. so idk i was in labor pain.. but when i had it done.. FML it hurt.

What was the benefit of doing it while in labor?

I'm not 100% sure that's what my doctor did today.. but I'm guessing. And it hurrrts.

oh you would know.. it makes you jump off the table pretty much.. i had a VBAC so my doctor did it to help me along.. i was also being induced.. i had a VBAC so it might have helped.

I about did. Worst exam of my life.

I'm being induced Monday and I think he did it to try to avoid an induction all together. He seemed so sure I would be calling him this weekend. Hah.

i was over due so he decided to induce.

No. 37 weeks. Due to my history.

ah ok.. if you can try and wait it out.. even with a history it might not be the same with this baby.. inducing can have a lot of bad out comes and a lot more with having it done that early.

No, its alright. The pros to him being here asap just outweigh the possible cons.

However, id really like for him to hold off until Monday! I wish my doctor would have asked first - if he really did a sweep.

most of the time they dont tell you when they do.. i dont understand why either.. i mean my doctor told me and i had better control and didnt jump off the bed lol. but i understand why. inducing labor can be very painful if you have never been induced before im letting you know.. but i wish you the best of luck i really do.. and hope that your little one comes out healthier then healthy.

Thanks. I had Pit with my first (wasn't induced, just helped get things going after the mag. sul. slowed things down). And my second was induced to Cytotec. So I guess I am more familiar with altered contractions than natural ones. How sad is that? Especially since both of those were planned birthing center births.

not sad at all.. i was induced with both of my boy my 1st failed and ended up with a c sec my 2ent was induced and went great.. the pain tho.. OMG it hurt so bad.. i wish you a very easy labor and awesome birth.
