certain things

Are there certain things that you decided early on, on what age you would allow your child to do those things? like i don't plan to let anyone watch DD (other than MIL and my parents) till she's old enough to tell me if she's been done wrong. i don't know what age i'll let her stay over night, wear make up or date. were there things you were set on, or did you just wing it? wait to see when they seem ready i guess?

I have an idea in my head for everything but it also depends on their maturity level as well.

No shaving legs until sixth grade
No makeup until high school hopefully junior year ( like me)
No sleep overs until ten
I knew I wouldn't start solids until a year old

I am dead set on not letting anyone but my parents, in laws and my sister watch my kids until they can tell me if something happened or anything I was molested as a kid and have a really hard time with leaving them because of it. I also let my bestfriends husband watch my daughter for like 10 mins but just to go to the gas station and back. I feel like it's a step in the right direction though (:

since i got my 1st period in 4th grade, my mother let me start shaving shortly after. seemed kind of like a consolation prize in a way. I think i'll base my choice like that as well.
i have no clue with make-up, gonna be a winging it for me. i wasn't allowed till high school and eyeliner was a stretch to get that far. i think i'll let her wear the play make-up at home or my parents' but nowhere else unless something REALLY special till i decide further.
Someone's recent post about a 5 yr old wanting a sleepover is what got me thinking on this. that ones a REALLY tricky one for me.
i was gonna go "by the book" with food and totally threw that out unfortunately...

Eh I got my period at 9. I only started shaving because we had to dress out for PE

I feel it isn't right for a child to be caked with makeup.

I felt it was right to wait until a year old. She was actually 14 months old.
