Quoting [JadeLee]:" I had normal cycles before this one. 46 days, and the last 18 were torture."OMG! i'd go nuts, just the 5 were driving me crazy! i did a dollar store test- negative, urine test at clinic- negative, blood test at clinic- they said would take 24 hrs (just waiting that long had my nerves shot). went up to get the results just for them to tell me the sample had gotten lost between the clinic and the hospital! so i opted to got to the other hospital and get a test that would get me the results quicker. were told at the hospital that it should take 45 mins. 3 hrs later, the clinic finally gets it and calls me to say its negative. still AF didn't show till the next morning. the whole time i was thinking that if i wasn't pregnant then something is wrong. still kinda thinking that.
Quoting RainbowDash:" Cycles can take awhile to normalize after having a baby and after stopping breastfeeding. I wouldn't worry about it. "but they seemed relatively normal since, till now.
Quoting RainbowDash:" It could be stress or other factors delaying ovulation. You're actually getting your period, it's just ... [snip!] ... having breakthrough bleeding. If you go longer than 35 days between cycles for more than a few in a row, I'd see the doctor. "i've heard stress can cause you to be late but i've never had it happened and am nowhere near as stressed as i've been before. idk why but i wouldn't have thought it was serious enough to see a doc about... I've had friends go 2 or 3 months without one for no known reason.
