When's a good time to start setting up babies side of room?

I am 22weeks and some odd days now. Our son will be sharing a room with us just like the other two did after they were born till about a year or so. Mine and my finances room is quite large,about the same size as our living room,and the baby will have his own side of the room. I want to put cute decals or maybe paint a little something on his side along with his dresser and all of that good stuff. I already feel like I want to start getting it all ready after holidays are over. What do you ladies think? Too early ? I'll be having a shower in January I think it'd be easier to place things where they go if some stuff is already set up but I also don't want to make the time go by even more slow because I'll have a set up all ready for him so early.

Set it up in the second trimester because you'll be MISERABLE in the third.

set it up before 29 weeks. when i got to 20 weeks i started setting up the room.

So your thinking after holidays would be a good time as well?

Im almost 37 wks and the room still isnt completely done...just a few things to go on the wall. I have no motivation whatsoever....so get it done earlier than me when you still have energy!
