PSA: Why you should WAIT to have your baby

My son was only 2 weeks early, but I saw such a big difference between him and my daughter who was born the day before her due date.

Could be the difference between kids generally, but right from go I thought he could have used to bake another week or so.

YEP. I was induced at 37weeks 1 day and my son had to be in the nicu for 14 days and I also got an infection after having him. I refuse to ever be induced again.

I don't know about you ladies but I trust March of Dimes and they are pushing for momma's to wait until at least 39 weeks!

My friends kids were both 3wk early. The first went into labor on his own. He was fine but she had complications causing a c-section. So the doctor wanted a repeat c-section with her second and he is behind. It is better to wait till the baby is ready. (Dr told her when to come in cuz of gd)

I really wish Peyton would have stayed in or been able to at all. He was born at 36 weeks and 5 days, I was going to be induced at 37 weeks due to Acute Fatty Liver Syndrome. The only reason I agreed to be induced was due to that syndrome, it could have killed us if I went too far into my pregnancy.

Thank you for posting this! I see too many preggos posting topics about inducing at 36 weeks, 37 weeks, 38 weeks, etc. We all know how uncomfortable those last weeks of pregnancy are. But in my opinion, parenting starts at conception...and part of being a good parent is making sacrifices and realizing it's not all about you or how you feel. It's about your child. Giving your child the best start possible is the greatest gift you can give him or her.

I was going for a VBA3C and my OB wanted to just do a c-section at 39 weeks. I forced her to let me go to 41 weeks before having a c-section.

Peyton (mine) was born at 36 wks and I am really hoping to go a little longer this time. I want to experience some normalcy!
