People that know about migraines help!

I've had a migraine for like 5 days straight. I've tried everything to get rid of it. Ice pack, pain relievers, laying down, drinking water, and head/neck massages. It'll ease up but once I start taking care of DD it gets worse again. I don't know what to do anymore. Any advice?

Benadryl & Tylenol. Rest in a cool dark quiet room. You should feel better soon after.

Go to a chiropractor and get a neck adjustment. Those are amazing. That is about the only thing that works for me. It's either that or Vicoden (sp?).

Yes! Vicodin works wonders for me but I don't have it anymore

You can go to urgent care and get an injection. Those can help take the edge off.

Seriously I've been getting migraines since 5th grade & they get so bad i go to the er for the "migraine cocktail" one day i finally asked how i could get rid of it with out having to make the er trip & that's what they told me. I havent went to the er for one since 2005. Hope you feel better.

I'm gonna take that advice with my next one! I've gotten them for years also, never heard that.

Yea. The cocktail is 5 meds put through an iv. But the benadryl & Tylenol are two of the ingredients & usually resolve it without the er trip. It's been such a help for me. Hope it helps you too. I always suggest it when i see a post about a migraine but i think everyone just thinks im nuts lol.

I take excedrin other pain relievers never help. I ended up at the ER because of this and I regret it lol the bill wasn't pretty just to have a migraine the next day. They gave me Ibuprofen 800mg and a couple other ones which made me very sleepy so I stopped taking them.
I started to eating better tho and that has helped me so much

I never even knew that you could go to the er for a migraine. But thanks so much for the advice, I hope it helps!

What type of Benadryl?
