My son has milk at nap time and bed time.
The rest of the time he was water with a small bit of flavouring.
My problem is everytime he finishes his drink he wants another one!
He will go to the fridge and bring juice or what not over to me or go into the cupboard and get the cordial.
I cant give him 20 drinks a day its just ridiculous.

Everytime I tell him off he ignores me but I feel like I pee myself a little everytime I get frustrted.
Its driving me insane.
I just had to confiscate his chair because even though I told him to put it back 3 times and took it and put it back he still grabbed it again and took it over to the cupboard.

Give the kid a drink, he is thirsty. Quit putting flavoring in it, he will drink it normal if he is thirsty enough.

My daughter was the same way. She was always drinking something so i was constantly in the bathroom with her lol. then She only asked for milk before going to bed and after waking up. Now she only asks for milk at bed time sometimes during the day but I give her food instead. I also try not to give her so much juice it is also hard cuz she likes to do it herself so I have to be on her ass from the moment she gets home from pre-school.

I don't think it's definitely 100% that he wants the surface. I give my son half juice half water, milk and sometimes jut water and he doesn't go nuts for the stuff. He has a normal amount of drinks in the day.

he has a million wet nappies
i doubt he is thirsty all day every day :/

i have no problem giving him a drink but not one after another continuously.
I think it may be a comfort thing for him.

he wont drink it if its just water, i mean i use literally the tiniest amount of flavouring.
but he will just throw it if its plain.

He needs to learn to drink plain water. Cordial, even the smallest amount, is terrible for his teeth

If he's thirsty enough he'll drink it. Right now is the time to train him out of bad habits like that.

Have you told your doctor he is drinking so much? Drinking 20 drinks a day is a lot IMO and I believe it would be something to mention at a check up.
It can be a sign of Diabetes among other things.

Then he isn't that thirsty. He will drink it normal if he is thirsty enough. He is wanting the sugar.

I DO NOT THINK he is wanting a tiny amount of sugar.
I was thinking about the diabetes thing.
Its only started recently.
I just had to take his cup off him, he is still trying to get to it but he will forget about it soon I hope.

He brushes his teeth.

so give him plain water when he is thirsty he will drink it that may mean going most of the day without a drink he will be fine just be consistent
