WTF!

Today SO's mom was telling me how she was talking to a customer/friend about my DD's personality and told me that she told him she has been hoping and praying that we will decide to put her in the local Christian academy like most of her cousins in the family on SO's side. SO's dad was standing in the kitchen cutting bread when I was telling her that my DD would not be going to that school because of MY beliefs. SO's dad interrupted and asked me who was going to watch her and I looked at him a bit confused and asked him what he meant. He then asked me "well, where is s he going to go to school?" and I told him I was not sure yet. He told me that if she went to school near my work they would not be picking her up. I told him I had no intentions of them doing that and he stormed out of the house slamming the door behind him.

Wow! That is nuts! Did they give birth to your daughter without you realizing it?

Meh. We send DD to a Christian Pre school because it has the best circulium. What you teach your children about beliefs at home is more important than at school. But that sounds like they are mad about your choice and that's not fair.

Apparently so. I told SO about it before he got home and he didn't say much. I told him I didn't care what they think, they don't get to make these decisions.

I may put her in the preschool for the same reasons but she will NOT go to grade school there. They are mad about my choice but it isn't going to make me change my mind.

im an agnostic spirtualist lol. i think its a waste to spend your whole life fearing some god that is going to judge you by a list of stupid rules that leaves out lots of other things that are just as bad imo. id rather leave as good as an imprint i can on peoples lives and let how my soul feels judge me lol

Honestly, I claim to be atheist but lean more towards agnostic. SO has known how I feel about religion since before we were even together. I do not believe in mixing education and religion. DD goes to church every Sunday with her grandparents and to me that is enough.

I just couldn't believe that he got so mad about it that he stopped what he was doing and stomped out of the house slamming the door behind him. Pretty childish if you ask me.
