A shared afterlife experience with a dog?

This link is a short true story by a pet owner who felt the spirit of her female boxer leave the body and at the same time she had an out of body experience an took a brief spiritual journey with the spirit of her pet to its destination and then she returned to her body. I have heard of shared death experiences among people but this is the first time I read about it involving a pet though I am not surprised as I believe souls can have any life form experience and not just as humans.
