1/2 a centimeter dialated and 34 weeks pregnant..

okay so i know NOTHING about how dialation really works since i was like a fingertip dialated at 37 weeks with my first and had to be induced at 37 weeks with her.. this is my second pregnancy and i am 34 weeks pregnant with our little boy and i am 1/2 a centimeter dialated already.. does that mean that i am progressing quicker with this pregnancy and sooner? im kind of scared that i will go into labor too early lol but maybe im worried for nothing. just wanted other mommies opinions  

It doesn't mean much until you're in active labor and progressing. I was 2cm at 18 weeks this last time, I had my daughter at 37 weeks. 3cm for 3 weeks before I had my son at 39 weeks.

Has no bearing on when baby will show. U could be like that for wks.

You can be dilated for months without going into active labor. It's typically no indication of an early delivery. Some women dilate very gradually over months and other women dilate quickly in a matter of hours.

I promise you're fine. I was 1cm for the longest time then 2cm. It really means nothing that you're 1/2 a cm. don't worry 

The on call OB in L&D last week said I was a cm., but that it normal for woman that had babies before. I also dilated to 3 cm. within an hour though, and am already 5 cm. and 100% at 35+6.

It's ok, nothing to worry about. I was dialated 3cm for a lil over a month before I went into labor with my first kiddo.

You can be dialated all you want doesn't mean baby is coming any time soon. I think you have awhile to go still. But then again you can go from 0 to 10 sooo fast!
