Aspiring photographer *pic overload*

So, my brother has become an aspiring photographer and I think his photos are beautiful, but I'm not a photographer so I don't know what makes the best quality photo. I'm wondering if you have any advice, criticism, or tips and tricks I could pass along to him. Here are some of his photos:














































He took a picture of his reflection in the water

I love them! Very beautiful shots.

  I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so. I always wonder if I'm just biased.   He hasn't really taken any portraits. Most of his pictures are of nature when he gets bored and goes for walks. I can't believe he stumbles across so many different animals!

They're beautiful. But look a little too Instagrammy with the color edits  

The first picture is the only one that bugs me.... the bee isn't in focus, nor is the flower really. It seems blurry.

I think hee uses instagram for some of them. lol I can't tell which are from the actual camera.

I really like some of them. The leaf in the water is my favorite.

They're beautiful! The only one I can see that has any type of flaw is the first one where it looks like the camera wasn't quite focused. He is extremely talented!!

A lot of them are really pretty! Didn't you say in one post though that he takes pics with his phone? I know the grass blade one I seen you say that.

I like them and definitely feel he is talented.

He definitely has a good eye for photography... they're unique. I think if he got a DSLR, he could have some major potential. The pictures would be even better than the ones captured on the iPhone

A Canon EOS Rebel T2i. I think half the time he still uses his iphone though

and i'm not too good with landscape/nature photography, since i only shoot people.  

but it looks like he has an eye for photography, for sure. needs to work on focusing and maybe composition in a few.
