re: Does your family drink at family events.

I bought beer for my dad and FIL. Everyone else either doesn't drink or is pregnant.

Yes, my BIL is constantly is drinking, so his natural state is drunk....seriously.

But we typically have beer and wine, people will have drinks but nothing major.

It's only my immediate family this year and we don't really drink - the rest of my family doesn't really drink, either, so there is never any alcohol around.

Unfortunately yes . I have no say in it, I don't like it what so ever. I wouldn't mind if LOs weren't around though.

Oh god yes, my boyfriends family is full of drunks lol.

They use to but now there are so many little kids and babies nobody ever drinks.

I mean, sometimes the guys will drink some beer and me, my mom, aunts and grandma will do some jello shots....but it's nothing hardcore. lol

I feel like I should add that at formal family dinners we have always allowed kid's starting at 13 to have a small glass of wine or champagne with sit down dinner, so having a drink has never been an issue for us.

Yeah. Our families are both into craft wine and beer making so it was just kind of natural for us to pair a nice glass of wind with our meal.

My family is the same way. We would also get a tiny glass of champagne on New Years and at weddings. I see nothing wrong with it.

It would be like a sin to not have alcohol around my family lol
