6 week postnatal check

Got our postnatal and baby check tomorrow.
What do they actually do?

A pelvic exam - I think they check to make sure your uterus has shrunk.

Eh, I think that was about it.   Sat in the lobby longer than I saw the doctor.  

Pelvic to make sure everything looks good. They will ask about BC and go over your options. Ask about mood and how you are feeling (checking for signs of PPD) Thats about it.

All mine did was ask how I felt (emotionally) and said what BC do you want. He didn't check me at all which I thought was strange. Wish he did tho cause childbirth caused me to have a prolapse

I didn't go to mine lol. But I'd assume a pelvic check and talk about BC options.

well don't want a pelvic exam! lol. i wouldn't go if the letter didn't say baby check aswell.

Cheers Ladies, now i know what to expect  

i had my 6 week check up yesterday. he didn't check me at all. he just asked how i was feeling down there, if we had started having sex again and what kind of birth control we were doing. and answered any questions i had.

YAY! no pelvic exam! just asked how I am and checked my c-section scar and then focussed of checking dexter over  . His perfect and right on track! infact, alittle ahead in the head control.   Love my little perfect man.   x
