The fifth disease

Has anyone been exposed to this in their pregnancy? I just got a not from my sons school that they have found a few cases of "slapped cheek" aka the fifth disease in school and any pregnant women should notify their doctor. Im 17 weeks and Im pretty sure I was never previously exposed to this before this pregnancy....i have an appointment next week for a regular appointment. Should I be trying to get in earlier bc of this???

you could always call your OB's office, see what they say. I don't really know that you can do anything about it now, other than avoid the children that have it.

would just call and notify the dr and see what they say

It's a virus, Parvo I think... causes a rash and fever.
