re: Madeline/Madalyn

I named my DD Aerilynn. So naturally I think Madalynn looks awesome!!

I would imagine alot of people wouldn't be able to spell Madeleine right. I love the spelling though

I like Madeline pronounced the other way Mad-uh-line. But, I know you can pronounce it they way you like.

I hate Madalyn. Just looks weird!

I like Madeline. I don't like it spelled Madelynn either. Madalyn looks "Mad-uh-lin". I guess it depends on how you pronounce it. I prefer Madeline(Mad-uh-line).

I would spell it your way and pronounce it lyn. Dumb people will misspronounce everything. No matter what so don't base your choice on that. I love maddie sue!!!

Madalyn and all those other spellings with a Y are ugly to me, it ruins the name.

Madeline = both mad-ah-line and mad-ah-lyn, both are correct.

It sounds a little different in French is all. Here is would likely be said lyn.

It might have to do with accent.

My SO is from Texas and he says pin and pen exactly the same, lol.
