Jogging while pregnant

posted 21st Nov
Anyone continue to jog while pregnant?I am about 5 weeks. I have been doing 2 miles a couple times a week. Lately I have been too fatigued to do it. I did do 1 mile tonight though. And any tips on how to keep comfortable while doing it? (keeping the boobs and belly in place)

Sports bra, you can get a belly wrap for support. Keep at it. The fatigue turns into nice energy after a few weeks (end of 1st trimester). I actually was doing construction and weight lifting full force while pregnant with my first

I did and I lost the baby so I don't recommend it. We don't know exactly why I lost the baby so that might not be why. But just be careful

Many many women remain very active during the whole pregnancy and have healthy babies. I would think there is more to it than just exercising.. Sorry for your loss

I'm the same way. I felt like smurf if I laid around and felt like smurf if I worked, so I went with being productive and feeling smurffy

I jogged until I was 39 weeks preggo. I was a hippo joggin down the sidewalk, lol. Actually I was in really good shape and I started right as I found out I was pregnant. Saved me from being a fat preggo girl. Smurf dat smurf. I worked hard to keep my body, and even made it better now, my DD being 14 months. Jogging while pregnant is totally okay as long as you are a fit healthy person to begin with and you start early enough in your pregnancy so you don't wear yourself out and possibly make yourself sick, or the baby. I don't think the chances of that is anything though.

BTW; ~ I used to get honked at all the time while I was pregnant jogging down the side of the road ;) Hell yeah I was a hot preggo!

ETA: I jogged every morning. It was the best way for me to get up and get going, energizing myself before I have a chance to get lazy on the couch with a bag of chips.

My midwife said I could continue doing any exercises that I was doing BEFORE getting pregnant, but don't try anything new that your body isn't used too.

What do you wear? Maybe try a slightly smaller size or different style?
