Her 4th birthday was when we switched DD.

Quoting MamaCC:" My daughter is 5 and 42lbs. Her car seat changes into a booster seat. I know it's recommended to be 4 and 40 lbs. When did YOU feel comfortable putting them in the booster seat?"

Here is is 4 and 14 kilos.
Well my LO is 14 kilos and he is only 19 months, he has been in a booster seat a few times.

I plan to keep both my kids in them as long as possible. I just got DD a new carseat to accomodate her fitting in it longer : )

If it were my child as long as hes under the limits I would always use a 5 point harness!

I plan keeping mine in the harness until they outgrow or can sit properly in a booster. I'm guessing 7 or so.

Our son was 6yo when we moved him to a booster [he's 8yo & still in it]. Our daughter is 5yo and still harnessed, she'll probably be that way for awhile...she seems very comfy, doesn't ask to be in a booster and her seat harnesses to 85lbs...so why not!?

I will only feel comfortable when my kid can't fit into a 5pt harness anymore. I need her to be as safe as possible in my car.
