so proud of my DH

he always insists on drinking when we go out which is fine but then he cant drive us home so we always need to try to find a place to stay.
well last weekend i convinced him to take me to the races and he enjoyed it so much, we won bets on every race!
and he only had a few drinks so when it finished he was able to drive us home.

well this weekend we have been invited to a 21st and we both really want to go because he never sees these people outside of work and i havent seen any of them in ages.......plus theyre all irish haha i love just listening to them.
well i was worried where we would stay but he suggested going for a few hours then driving home.
Yay.

May not sound like much but finally i think he is realising he doesnt need to get drunk to have fun everytime we go out.

No weve been in a few accidents, so I was too nervous to drive but have recently started driving and love it.
We have to get 120 hours practice and write it all down in a log book before we can go for our license.
So Im getting there.

I thought you only had to do that if you were under 18. Here i'm pretty sure they just make you take the driving and written test. I remember doing that when i was 16 to get my license.

no its if youre under 21, i turn 21 next september but cant wait that long as i want a license before this bubs is due.

Here it says if your over 17 and have had your permit or over 18 and have had something for 180 days. *shrug*

we can go for our learners permit at 16 (have to drive with a fully licensed supervisor)
we can go for our driving permit at 18 (you have to have had your learners for 12 months and have 120 hours driving practice including 10 hours night times driving)
i think you are on green ps for a year which means you can only carry one passenger unless they are family members or between certain ages.
then on your red ps for 2 years which means you can have as many passengers as the car can hold.
then you get your full license.

if you are over 21 you can go get your ps whenever you want.
its stupid really, so many different rules and crap.

Yeah that is stupid, I didn't really pay attention but my mom wrote down all the hours then we went and I got my license a little after I turned 16. I couldnt drive between like 10-6 or
12-6am can't remember exactly and could only have one passenger besides family.
