Feeling stupid.

So I've been spending the last week thinking I'm pregnant. We had unprotected sex the day before I ovulated 2 weeks ago, and last week at 7DPO I got a rush of nausea, followed by no appetite, cramps, feeling hot all the time, very unusual discharge for me, sore boobs, etc. Well, I ovulated early. I ovulated on cd7, not cd14 like most people do. And I've been spending the WHOLE last week thinking my period was due TODAY and I would finally know for sure if I'm pregnant or not, but because i'm STUPID and didn't realize I ovulated early, and 14DPO (today) would not, in fact, be the day I would start my period, since I ovulated 7 days early. Still having symptoms. Still getting negative pregnancy tests. And now I have to wait a whole nother week than I was expecting to see if I'm going to get my period. UGHHHHH smurf you uterus. And brain.

Wouldn't early ovulation still have around a 14 day luteal phase? I usually O on cd 10 and I have 24 day cycles

I'll be honest, I don't even know what you just asked...  
I'm not TTC and don't know what all that means... lol I don't ever track my cycles or count days or any of that so I don't know what is a "normal" cycle for me...

It may not have the same luteal phase, but you should definitely be able to get a reliable positive or negative at 14dpo.

Not necessarily. I've had 20 day long luteal phases before.

The 2ww is the time from when you ovulate until your period starts. Most normal cycles are 28 days long, with a 14 day luteal phase - 2 weeks from ovulation to menstrual start.

But my periods have gone weird though and I've had 3 weeks between ovulation and the start of my period.

Oh okay. I see. I started my last period on Halloween, it lasted like 3 or 4 days, and I ovulated on November 7th. My period isnt due til next wednesday.

You should use MyDays. Even if you aren't TTC, just track your periods. It tells you your average cycle length, when to expect your next period, & other stuff too.

If you o'd even earlier than you thought though... Wouldn't tests be accurate right now?

I think so. When I was pregnant with Kieran I didnt test until my period was a week late and my positive was faint... I don't remember HOW faint, I just remember it was faint. I don't know if that means anything or not though. But it does seem like I'd be able to get a good positive by 14 DPO. So hopefully it's true negatives i'm getting lol. Smurf you, false positive pregnancy tests freaking me the F out!

If that first test you took last week was a "true" faint BFP, you'd have a dark line by now. I'm guessing that test was a fluke and you're probably not pregnant.

Don't know if that's the outcome you wanted or not, but just saying my opinion.

I thought I was going to start like 3 days ago, can't remember for the life of me when i had my period last month, but i've been getting negs also. I think it was right before halloween so idk... i've been cramping for like a week though and usually only cramp the day before then after my period starts so this is odd. I'm confused also if it makes you feel better. lol
PLUS my period has been starting early for the past few months, i guess i have a shorter cycle now? I'm like like oh well... can't even keep up with this smurf haha
